Mobile Payments API Availability Throughout the Cloud

Posted on April 22nd, 2009 admin No comments

Mpayy, Inc. released its Secure Debit payments service to all mobile application developers, regardless of the operating system or device. Mpayy provides free and secure mobile payments from its mobile website at http://mobile.mpayy.com and its online website at http://www.mpayy.com.
Application developers looking for the lowest cost simple payments solution can process payments for just $0.20 + 2.00% from within applications on Android, iPhone or Blackberry.

Application developer and merchant partners seeking to provide payment services for mobile commerce can send transaction details to a co-branded version of Mpayy’s mobile site, or call the service directly from within the application. Text message invoicing options and location-based service payments are also available.

Application marketplaces can open Mpayy Retail Ecommerce & Checkout Host (REACH) accounts and provide their personal and merchant accounts to the buyers and sellers within their marketplace.

When sellers receive their funds, Mpayy can move the net amount, providing marketplace fees in real time, eliminating receivables periods. Merchants get instant mobile commerce capabilities, and can get paid to their REACH account directly from their customers’ mobile devices.

In addition to the App Store on iTunes, and those for Android, application marketplaces will be opened for Motorola, Blackberry and Nokia phones. Further, companies like Cydia are creating new marketplaces for the iPhone. Mpayy anticipates digital marketplaces involving pay-per-view content on the mobile device as online digital content merchants like Netflix and DirecTV move their services to the mobile device. Blackberry has announced its store will utilize PayPal, and Nokia just invested in OboPay to fuel mobile commerce transitions.

Mpayy anticipates working with developers and merchants to enable transactions via cell phone. In addition to being device, network and operating system agnostic, Mpayy also works with checking accounts from any bank inside the United States.
